Dr. Fried is the Medical Director at Active Life Wellness Centers with over 25 years of Dermatological and Cosmetic experience. Dr. Fried graduated magna cum laude from Manhattan’s Touro College before earning his Medical Degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He completed his general surgery internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and served a dermatology residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla. He worked as attending physician in the Emergency Room of both Jamaica Hospital and Bellevue Hospital in New York. Dr. Fried founded Westchester Dermatology Center the center for Cosmetic and General Dermatology in 1993 with Offices Located in White Plains , Larchmont and the Bronx. He is board certified in dermatology and has special interest and expertise in cosmetic and laser surgery, varicose vein treatment and autologous fat transplantation and meso therapy (vitamin injection to dissolve subcutaneous fat). A dedicated researcher in his field, Dr. Fried has conducted numerous studies on dermatological diseases and has done special investigative research on wounds and burn healing. His work has been published in the Journal of Infectious Diseases and Annals of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Nathalie Guillaume, DAOM, L.Ac is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and Licensed Acupuncturist specializing in pain management and esthetic physiological regulating medicine, oncology and medical qigong. She has done clinical rotations in China where she received advanced training at Long Hua Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Shanghai and Sichuan Integrative Eastern and Western Hospital in Chengdu. Her experience in yoga and dance has influenced her interest in a mindfulness approach to the clinical practice using exercise as medicine. She has extensively researched the therapeutic benefits of medical qigong in chronic back pain under the mentorship of Dr. Guan-Cheng Sun in addition to her studies in somatic movement therapy with Sondra Fraleigh. Dr. Guillaume regularly volunteers her time in Haiti providing wellness training development with Yoga Ventures International and post-earthquake relief efforts with Acupuncturists Without Borders. She is a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York and the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad (AMHE). Currently practicing in the New York City area, she is affiliated with Donna Karan's Urban Zen Foundation, the Integrative Medicine department at the Beth Israel Medical Center as well as the Dance Therapy program at The Julliard School.
Sophia Winkeler is a Registered Dietitian. Sophia grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. From there she continued her education at the University of Delaware, and graduated with a degree in Dietetics. Upon graduation Sophia completed her accredited dietetic internship through the University of Delaware. While completing her internship Sophia worked in many facets of dietetics such as, community, food service and clinical nutrition. Upon becoming a Registered Dietitian, Sophia moved to New York to continue her career in Dietetics. She is passionate about teaching others about nutrition and helping guide clients in making healthy lifestyle changes. She looks forward to working with you in pursuit of your nutrition and health goals.
